Formed in 2004 at the world famous iOWest theater in Los Angeles, Trophy Wife consists of the funniest, most talented improvisers from across the country. With combined training from the iOWest, Second City, Groundlings, and Improv Boston, Trophy Wife has brought their spontaneous brand of comedy to audiences worldwide.
Trophy Wife performs “The Harold,” the signature improvised piece of the iOWest, every Wednesday at 9pm. Based on a single audience suggestion, Trophy Wife weaves a series of completely improvised scenes, stories, and games into a single hilarious piece. Each show is broadcast worldwide via the group’s popular podcast.

The cast of Trophy Wife can be seen and heard in numerous national commercials, television shows, popular web videos, and even animated cartoons. Collective film and TV credits include The Colbert Report, XPlay on G4, Mystic River, The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn, and even Alf’s Hit Talk Show.
Trophy Wife has also performed and taught at improv festivals across the nation, including the Phoenix Improv Festival, The Los Angeles Improv Comedy Festival, and the San Francisco Improv Festival.
In 2006, Trophy Wife was dubbed “A Name to Watch” by New York Magazine. In 2007, they were named “Best Harold Team” at the annual Del Close Awards. And in 2009, they even made a kickass calendar.
